Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer – Industrial Valves & Electrical Actuators

Location: Ahmedabad
Department: Sales & Engineering
Reports To: Sales Manager / Technical Director

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Engineer with expertise in industrial valves and electrical actuators to join our growing team. This role is responsible for bridging the gap between our technically sophisticated products and customer-specific applications. You will play a key role in the pre-sales and post-sales process, offering technical solutions, product demonstrations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through tailored support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Demonstrations & Presentations

• Conduct in-depth product presentations and live demonstrations of industrial valves and actuators to clients, engineers, and procurement teams.
• Clearly explain product functionalities, specifications, and benefits.

2. Technical Consultation & Solution Development

• Analyze customer requirements and develop customized valve and actuator solutions.
• Recommend appropriate configurations and options to ensure compatibility with customer systems (e.g., fluid dynamics, pressure, control systems).

3. Sales Support & Enablement

• Collaborate with sales teams to prepare technical proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
• Assist in pricing strategies by considering both technical and commercial factors.

4. Customer Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting issues related to installation, operation, or performance of valves and actuators.
• Conduct on-site visits when necessary to resolve complex technical challenges.

5. Market & Product Feedback

• Collect customer insights and field data to support product development and continuous improvement.
• Provide feedback to engineering and product teams regarding product performance and potential enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical sales or applications engineering, preferably in the valve, actuator, or industrial automation sector.
• Strong understanding of valve types (e.g., ball, gate, globe, butterfly) and actuator types (e.g., electric, pneumatic, hydraulic).
• Familiarity with control systems, industrial process flow, and engineering drawings (P&ID, isometric, etc.).
• Proficient in technical documentation, CRM software, and MS Office tools.

• Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and exhibitions.

Preferred:

• Experience with industry standards such as API, ANSI, ISO, IEC.
• Previous exposure to SCADA, PLCs, or other automation systems.
• Multilingual capabilities are a plus.
