Electrical actuators are used on most types of valves for example: Plug valve, ball valve, gate valve, globe valve, diaphragm valve, piston valve, Butterfly valve etc. They are mostly used to flow-control with On-off or shutoff while proportional valve with “percentage wise open close” or modulating functionality can withstand the forces while allowing the desired degree of opening for flow or throttling.
To control the direction or divert the flow, we can also use electrical actuators on L-port and T-port valves for 2 way and 3 way direction control when in case of maintenance or repairs.
Motored valves can also be used for temperature control, pressure control and isolation along with valves for dense medium like sludge, corrosive and erosive fluids, solid materials in slide gate, slurry valves and damper valves.
